This is a compilation of the six images I chose to use for comparison and to understand the differences in quality among the images. Honestly, the only difference I can see is the coloration in the JPG and GIF images appear to be slightly different than the rest, with the former being darker and the former being too pale; that, and perhaps those two pictures even appear lower resolution. The image that I feel is closest to the original is the PNG due to it looking more vivid and crisp than the other file types.
For the rest of my assignments, I believe I will be using the PNG format due to how much better it looks. The colors present in the other formats are not as vivid or stimulating as those in the PNG image, hence why I prefer the PNG picture. It offers more detail and simply looks superior, in lack of a better phrase. PNG images are also the format I was most familiar with and had used in previous online courses, making it increasingly easier for me to manipulate them to my liking. Therefore, I think PNG images will be the most useful for this class due to their higher quality and will be what I use in the future.
